Dr. Kate Liszka is a distinguished Professor of History at California State University-San Bernardino, where she also serves as the Benson and Pamela Harer Fellow in Egyptology. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Classics, Ancient Mediterranean Studies, and International Studies from Penn State University. She further honed her expertise by earning a Master of Arts and a PhD in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, with a specialization in Egyptology, from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout her career, Dr. Liszka has imparted her knowledge of Ancient Egypt and Ancient History at several prestigious institutions, including Roosevelt University, Loyola University, and Princeton University. She has a particular focus on the interactions between Nubians and Egyptians, the Medjay, and the complexities of ethnic identity in antiquity.
