

Soumyasanta Laha
Dr. Soumyasanta Laha is an esteemed Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Lyles College of Engineering, California State University-Fresno. With a robust academic background, he earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University, an M.Sc. in Embedded Digital Systems from the University of Sussex, and a B.Sc. in Physics from RKMRC, University of Calcutta. His research interests are deeply rooted in the fields of low power mm-wave integrated circuit design, embedded systems, and analog electronics. Before embarking on his academic career at Fresno State, Dr. Laha accumulated a wealth of experience in various research-level roles. His professional journey includes significant tenures at Ohio University, Intel Corporation, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, and Newcastle University. These positions have equipped him with a diverse skill set and a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical engineering. Dr. Laha's research endeavors have been recognized and supported by several prestigious funding bodies. He has successfully secured grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the CSU Program for Education and Research in Biotechnology (CSUPERB), and the Fresno-Merced Future of Food (F3) Innovation Program.
