Blake Riggs

Dr. Blake Riggs is devoted to exploring challenges in cell and molecular biology, serving as an associate department chair and professor in the Department of Biology at San Francisco State University. Since joining SFSU in 2010, Dr. Riggs has been instrumental in advancing research and education in the field. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he developed a strong foundation in biological sciences. Dr. Riggs's research interests are centered around the intricate processes of mitotic spindle assembly, chromosome segregation, and mitotic membrane rearrangement.
