Ilya Mingareev

Blending theory and practice to improve the field of mechanical engineering, Dr. Ilya Mingareev is an esteemed Assistant Professor in the College of Engineering and Science at Florida Tech. With a robust academic and professional background, he serves as the Mechanical Engineering Program Chair, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and guiding the next generation of engineers. His leadership extends to his role as Co-Director of the Center for Advanced Coatings, where he collaborates on cutting-edge research to develop innovative coating technologies. Dr. Mingareev also directs the ULMP Lab and LAM Lab, where his expertise in mechanical engineering is applied to solve complex challenges and advance the field. His academic journey culminated in a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to contribute significantly to both academia and industry.
