

Debbie Carstens
Debbie Carstens is a distinguished Professor at the Florida Institute of Technology's College of Aeronautics. She holds a joint appointment as a Human-Centered Design Professor within the College of Engineering and Science. Her expertise and leadership extend to her role as the Graduate Program Chair for Aviation Human Factors, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of aviation safety and efficiency. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Carstens is the Director of the Human Factors (HF) Assist Lab, a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation in human factors and ergonomics. She also serves as the Faculty Advisor for the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society's Florida Tech Student Chapter, fostering a community of aspiring professionals in the field.
