Dr. Sameer Hinduja is a distinguished professor and faculty associate at Florida Atlantic University and the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University. Renowned for his expertise in the risks and harms associated with emerging technologies on youth populations, Dr. Hinduja's work delves deeply into the protective factors that can mitigate these risks. His prolific academic career includes the publication of eight books and over 50 scholarly articles, with his research being cited approximately 23,000 times, reflecting its significant impact in the field. Dr. Hinduja's research interests are diverse, encompassing the effects of empathy, resilience, hope, and the broader climate and culture on youth behavior. He has extensively studied deterrence strategies, social norms, parenting dimensions, and peer-led initiatives, emphasizing the role of various stakeholders in fostering positive youth development.
