Molly McNett's work addresses critical gaps in the intersection of creative writing and education, particularly focusing on fiction writing and ESL composition. Since beginning her tenure at Northern Illinois University in 2001, McNett has been a dedicated member of the English faculty, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to her students. Her commitment to student success is evident in her innovative teaching methods and her development of a unique nature writing class at NIU's Lorado Taft Field Campus. This course allows students to immerse themselves in the natural environment, fostering their observational and writing skills through outdoor experiences.
