Sally Potter-McIntyre

Dr. Sally Potter-McIntyre specializes in the field of geology, with a particular focus on clastic sedimentology. As an Associate Professor at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her research and teaching. Dr. Potter-McIntyre's academic journey began at Colorado Mountain College, followed by Mesa State College, and culminated with a doctorate from the University of Utah in 2012. Her research interests are diverse and interdisciplinary, encompassing diagenesis, paleogeography, basin evolution, astrobiology, and Mars sedimentology. Dr. Potter-McIntyre is known for her innovative approach to solving complex geological problems, employing both traditional methods and cutting-edge techniques. Her work on Mars sedimentology, in particular, has contributed to a deeper understanding of the planet's geological history and its potential for past life.
