

Muhao Chen
Committed to mentoring the next generation in the field of engineering, Muhao Chen serves as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Kentucky. With a robust academic background, he earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2021, following his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2013 and 2016, respectively. Professor Chen's research is centered on tensegrity systems, where he explores the integration of structure and control design. His work aims to advance the understanding and application of these systems, which are known for their lightweight and efficient structural properties. By combining theoretical insights with practical applications, he seeks to contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions. In addition to his research, Muhao Chen is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment for his students. He is passionate about guiding them through the complexities of mechanical and aerospace engineering, encouraging them to think critically and creatively. Through his teaching and mentorship, he hopes to inspire future engineers to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field.
