Dr. Jun Chu has expertise in public health with a particular focus on health policy, data management and analysis, and quantitative research methods. He serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Public Health at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC). Dr. Chu earned his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2022, where he honed his skills in addressing complex health issues through rigorous research. His research primarily explores the intersection of health policy and immigrant populations in the United States. Dr. Chu is deeply invested in understanding the challenges faced by Alzheimer's disease and related dementia (ADRD) patients and their caregivers, with a goal of improving their access to and utilization of primary care services. His work aims to inform policy changes that enhance the quality of care and support for these vulnerable groups. In addition to his research, Dr. Chu is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in the field of public health.
