Dr. Gerald Emerick is a distinguished Professor of Information Security & Intelligence at the College of Business, Ferris State University. Since joining the faculty in 2011, he has brought a wealth of experience from his two-decade-long career in the Information Systems sector. His professional journey includes significant roles such as Management Consultant, Project Manager, Software Engineer, and Database Administrator. These roles have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry, which he now imparts to his students. Before transitioning to a full-time academic role, Dr. Emerick spent a decade as an adjunct faculty member, where he honed his teaching skills and developed a passion for education. His expertise is not confined to the classroom; he is an active consultant in areas like Application Security Assessments, Software Engineering, and Business Intelligence. This consulting work ensures that his knowledge remains current and relevant, benefiting both his students and the broader academic community.
