Passionate about exploring solutions for complex mathematical problems, Jeffe Boats is an Associate Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy, where he has been a dedicated faculty member since 1998. With a profound expertise in Applied Mathematics, Probability, Game Theory, Poker/Gambling Theory, and Algebra, Professor Boats has significantly contributed to the academic community through his innovative research and engaging teaching methods. Professor Boats earned his Doctor of Arts in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University, a testament to his deep understanding and commitment to the field. Before joining the University of Detroit Mercy, he honed his teaching skills as an instructor at the University of Texas at El Paso, where he developed a passion for guiding students through the intricacies of mathematical concepts. At the University of Detroit Mercy, Professor Boats is responsible for leading the university's online algebra sequence, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and accessible education in this fundamental area of mathematics.
