Min Soon Kim

Min Soon Kim investigates challenges and opportunities in the realm of health information technologies, with a keen focus on decision support systems, mHealth, and usability. As an Assistant Research Professor in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri, Dr. Kim is dedicated to advancing the field of health informatics through his innovative research. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where he developed a strong foundation in the integration of engineering principles with healthcare solutions. Before joining the University of Missouri in 2010, Dr. Kim served as a research fellow at the Center for Biomedical Informatics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. During his tenure there, he honed his expertise in the development and evaluation of health information technologies, including electronic health records and clinical decision support systems. His work is driven by a commitment to improving the usability and functionality of these technologies, ensuring they effectively enhance clinical outcomes. Dr. Kim's research is characterized by a practical approach to the challenges faced by healthcare providers in adopting new technologies. He is particularly interested in how these systems can be designed to support decision-making processes in clinical settings, thereby improving patient care and operational efficiency.
