Jemalyn Griffin is an esteemed Assistant Professor of Practice in Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL). With a robust background in integrated marketing communications, she brings over a decade of industry experience to her academic role. At UNL, Griffin is dedicated to shaping the future of advertising professionals by teaching courses that cover a wide array of subjects, including social media theory and practice, digital communications, strategy development, strategic writing, and digital branding. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Griffin is the Director of Jacht Advertising Agency, where she mentors students in real-world advertising scenarios, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience. Her commitment to student development extends to her role as the Faculty Advisor for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), where she guides students in their professional growth and networking endeavors. Griffin is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, actively contributing to the UNL community through her role as the Marketing and Communications Co-Chair for Husker Dialogues. This initiative is part of the UNL Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), where she works to foster an inclusive environment for all students.
