Kira Villa

Professor Kira Villa is focused on real-world applications of economics, particularly in understanding the intricate dynamics of health and human capital across generations. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of New Mexico (UNM), she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as the Graduate Director. Villa's academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by a Master's and PhD in Applied Economics from Cornell University.
