Jason Deibel is an esteemed Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Physics at the University of Dayton. With a robust academic background, he earned his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the University of Michigan, following a B.A. in Physics and Mathematics from Transylvania University. His academic journey has been marked by a profound dedication to both research and education. Deibel's research interests are diverse and cutting-edge, encompassing time-domain terahertz spectroscopic imaging, ultrafast science, computational electromagnetics, and science education research. His work in these areas has not only contributed significantly to the field but also attracted over $6 million in external funding, underscoring the impact and importance of his research endeavors. In addition to his research, Deibel is deeply committed to advancing teaching methodologies. He is a strong advocate for active learning strategies, which he integrates into his teaching to enhance student engagement and understanding.
