

Mollie Stambler
Dr. Mollie Stambler is devoted to exploring challenges in health and wellness rhetorics, with a particular focus on ableism, health disparities, literacies, and justice. As an Assistant Professor in the School of Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication at James Madison University, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role, having joined the faculty in 2023. Her academic journey is marked by a diverse and interdisciplinary background, with a Ph.D. in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication from the University of Minnesota, an M.L.I.S. in Library and Information Science from San José State University, and a B.S. in Applied Sociology and English from Northern Arizona University. Dr. Stambler's research is deeply rooted in understanding how texts mediate and circulate power, and she is particularly interested in how writing can be leveraged as a tool for advocacy and social change.
