

Benjamin Guerrero
Benjamin Guerrero is an esteemed educator and researcher in the field of music, currently serving as an Instructor at the School of Music at James Madison University and an Assistant Professor of Music at Eastern Mennonite University. With a robust academic background, Guerrero is pursuing a PhD in Music Teaching and Learning at the Eastman School of Music. His research is centered on online professional development, music technology in music education, and groove perception in popular music, areas in which he is deeply passionate. Guerrero's educational journey began at Berklee College of Music, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Drum Set Performance and Contemporary Writing & Production. He further honed his expertise by obtaining a Master's degree in Music Technology from New York University. This solid foundation has equipped him with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in both teaching and research. Throughout his career, Guerrero has accumulated extensive teaching experience, having instructed students in percussion and music technology across various educational levels, including middle schools, high schools, and community colleges. His dedication to education is evident in his commitment to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment for his students. In addition to his teaching roles, Guerrero is an active participant in the music education community.
