She initially joined the founding faculty as a Legal Skills and Values instructor, contributing significantly from 2002-2003 and again from 2007-2014. Her dedication to legal education and student development led to her appointment as the Dean of Students in 2014, where she has since been instrumental in shaping the student experience. In her role as Dean of Students, Angelique Ortega leads the Office of Student Services, which is pivotal in managing student life and organizing events that enrich the academic environment. Her career also includes a significant role as an Assistant County Attorney in Miami-Dade, where she honed her legal acumen and developed a deep understanding of the complexities of the legal system.
