

Ted Randall
Professor Ted Randall is a dedicated academic and administrator working to advance the understanding of international student services and compliance at Florida International University. With over two decades of experience at FIU, he has significantly contributed to the university's community through various roles. Currently, he serves as the Associate Director, PDSO, and RO at the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) on the Modesto A. Maidique Campus. Throughout his tenure at FIU, Professor Randall has worn many hats, including that of an adjunct professor in the English Department. His passion for education and student success is evident in his previous roles as the Assistant Director of Veteran Services in the Registrar's Office and as a Certifying Officer for NCAA Compliance. These positions have allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of student needs and institutional policies. Professor Randall's commitment to international students is particularly noteworthy. For 18 years, he has been advising students on immigration, educational, and cultural issues, helping them navigate the complexities of studying in a foreign country. His expertise in this area is invaluable to the diverse student body at FIU, ensuring that international students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially. Before embarking on his academic career, Professor Randall served in the U.S. Marine Corps, an experience that has undoubtedly shaped his leadership skills and dedication to service. After retiring from the military, he pursued higher education at FIU, earning a B.S. in Communication and an M.A. in English. His academic background complements his professional roles, providing a strong foundation for his work in student services and compliance. Professor Randall's contributions to FIU extend beyond his administrative duties. He is known for his approachable demeanor and willingness to assist students and colleagues alike.
