With a robust academic background, she holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Miami, where she honed her specialization in criminology. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University, laying the foundation for her future endeavors in the field. Dr. Chang's professional experience is as diverse as it is impressive. Before joining FIU, she contributed significantly to the academic and practical realms of sociology and criminal justice through her roles at Miami Dade College, the Miami-Dade Juvenile Service Department, and the Miami-Dade State Attorneyâs Office.
