

Majid Vaseghi
Dr. Majid Vaseghi is laying the groundwork for future advancements in the field of mechanical engineering through his innovative research and teaching at the University of Alabama. As an Assistant Professor, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the department, having earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Metal Forming from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, and a B.S. in Metallurgy Engineering from Semnan University, Iran. Before his tenure at the University of Alabama, Dr. Vaseghi served as an Assistant Professor at Beheshti University in Iran, where he honed his teaching and research skills. Additionally, he expanded his international experience as a visiting researcher at POSTECH in South Korea, which enriched his global perspective on engineering challenges and solutions. Dr. Vaseghi's research interests are centered on the manufacturing and inverse engineering of metallic components. His current work focuses on the development and application of superalloys and surface laser treatments, aiming to enhance the performance and durability of these materials in various industrial applications. His contributions to the field are not only advancing academic understanding but also have practical implications for the manufacturing industry. Through his dedication to research and education, Dr. Vaseghi is committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers.
