Dr. Janet Arms is redefining paradigms in the world of music education and performance. Dr. Arms holds a Master's degree from The Juilliard School, one of the most prestigious music institutions in the world, and a Bachelor's degree from The Hartt School, University of Hartford, where she now serves as a faculty member. Since 1988, Dr. Arms has been a vital member of the New York City Opera orchestra, contributing her exceptional talent to numerous performances and recordings with some of the most esteemed ensembles. Her career is marked by a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of the nuances of musical expression, which she imparts to her students with great enthusiasm. In 1995, Dr. Arms joined the faculty of Hartt, where she has since led the flute studio with distinction.
