Todd Yukumoto brings a wealth of experience in both music education and performance to his role as a faculty member at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa Department of Music. With a solid foundation in Secondary Music Education, having earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, Todd has dedicated his career to nurturing the next generation of musicians. His academic journey continued at the University of Texas at Austin, where he achieved a Master's degree in Saxophone Performance under the tutelage of the esteemed Harvey Pittel. Throughout his career, Todd has had the privilege of performing alongside some of the most respected names in the music industry. His collaborations with renowned musicians such as Marvin Stamm and Chris Potter have enriched his musical perspective and honed his skills as a saxophonist. His performance repertoire is diverse, having played with ensembles like the Hilo County Band, the Austin Symphony Orchestra, and the Austin Civic Orchestra, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his craft. Currently, Todd Yukumoto serves as a Lecturer of Saxophone at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. In this role, he is responsible for teaching applied saxophone, where he imparts his extensive knowledge and experience to his students. Additionally, he directs the UH Saxophone Choir, guiding the ensemble to explore a wide range of musical styles and expressions. His dedication to teaching and his passion for music make him a valued member of the university's faculty.
