Dr. Shelley M. Lucas conducts research on the socio-cultural aspects of sport-related concussions, women's sport history, and gender issues in sport. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her field. Dr. Lucas earned her Ph.D. in cultural studies of sport and leisure from the University of Iowa, where she developed a keen interest in the historical and cultural dimensions of sport, particularly focusing on women's cycling history.
