Cristy Moss

Fostering growth in knowledge systems for aspiring medical laboratory scientists, Cristy Moss serves as the MSMLS Program Director and Associate Professor at Clinical Sciences Andrews University. She joined the MLS faculty in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for education. Moss is an alumna of Andrews University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BSMLS). She furthered her education with an MBBS degree from the University of West Indies, which has enriched her understanding of medical sciences. Before transitioning into academia, Moss honed her skills as a medical technologist across various healthcare settings. Her professional journey includes significant roles in medical centers and hospitals located in Michigan, Virginia, and The Bahamas. These experiences have equipped her with a diverse set of skills and insights that she now imparts to her students. Moss is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, a testament to her expertise and commitment to the field. She is also an active member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Scientists, where she continues to engage with the latest developments and innovations in clinical sciences. Beyond her professional life, Cristy Moss is dedicated to her family. She is married to Alvarico, and together they have a daughter named Alaina. Her personal experiences and professional achievements make her a well-rounded educator and mentor, inspiring the next generation of medical laboratory scientists.
