Dr. Duane McBride investigates emerging trends in sociology with a keen focus on addictions and the dynamics within the Adventist Global Church community. As the Senior Research Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institute for Prevention of Addictions at Andrews University, Dr. McBride brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his field. He earned his PhD in Sociology from the University of Kentucky, complemented by an MA in Sociology from the University of Maryland, and a BA in Behavioral Science from Andrews University.
