Jeff Youngquist

Dr. Jeff Youngquist is devoted to exploring challenges in the realms of communication, creativity, and leadership. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication, Journalism, and Public Relations at Oakland University, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students and colleagues. Dr. Youngquist earned his Ph.D. from Wayne State University, where he honed his expertise in organizational and interpersonal communication. His research interests are diverse and impactful, focusing on leadership and its influence on decision-making processes, creativity, adaptability, and ethics within organizations. Dr. Youngquist's work in these areas has contributed significantly to the understanding of how communication shapes and is shaped by leadership dynamics. His dedication to teaching and research has been recognized through prestigious awards, including the Elizabeth Youngjohn Award for teaching excellence and the Graduate Research Award. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Youngquist plays an active role in Oakland University's Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
