Dr. Jeremy Brekke inspires the academic community to rethink the boundaries of trumpet performance and education. As an Associate Professor of Trumpet at North Dakota State University, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students and colleagues. Dr. Brekke's educational journey began at NDSU, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Music Education. He further honed his craft by obtaining a Master's degree in Trumpet Performance and a Doctorate of Arts in Trumpet Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado. With a diverse performance background, Dr. Brekke is known for his versatility across a wide range of musical styles. His passion for music is evident in his teaching, where he has been guiding students in trumpet, high brass methods, and various brass chamber groups since 2008. His commitment to education is matched by his active involvement as a clinician and adjudicator, where he shares his expertise with aspiring musicians. Dr. Brekke's contributions extend beyond the classroom, as he is an engaged member of the International Trumpet Guild.
