Dr. Ryan E. Flinn is an Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of North Dakota. Dr. Flinn holds a Ph.D. from New Mexico State University and a master's degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. As Co-Director and Principal Investigator of the SAMHSA-funded Mountain Plains Addiction Technology Transfer Center, Dr. Flinn focuses on addressing the syndemic of trauma, substance use, legal system involvement, and HIV transmission. Dr. Flinn's research interests are supported by grants from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and have led to collaborations with institutions across the country. Additionally, Dr. Flinn actively participates in various professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, and contributes to editorial boards of reputable journals in their field.
