Dr. Anita Simic Milas is an advocate for innovation in environmental science and education, serving as an Associate Professor at the School of Earth, Environment and Society at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). With a PhD from the University of Toronto, Dr. Simic Milas has cultivated a rich academic and research career across Canada, France, and the United States. Her work is distinguished by a focus on the applications of remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to address pressing environmental challenges. Her research interests are diverse, encompassing water quality, soil science, bioenergy sustainability, vegetation analysis, and hydrology.
