Jacob White
Dr. Jacob White brings a wealth of experience in both academia and research to his role as the Co-Director of the Planning, Evaluation, Education, and Research (PEER) team at the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Ohio University, Dr. White has dedicated his career to advancing the fields of chemical research, educational research, and STEM outreach. Prior to his current position, Dr. White spent 15 years as a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Rio Grande. During his tenure there, he was honored with the Edwin Jones Teaching Award and was recognized as Professor Emeritus, reflecting his commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship. His work in the classroom and beyond has left a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike. Dr. White's research interests are diverse, encompassing educational research, chemical research, and STEM outreach. He has successfully written and secured nearly $3,000,000 in competitive grant funding, underscoring his ability to lead and innovate in his field. His contributions to the academic community are well-regarded, and he continues to push the boundaries of knowledge through his research endeavors.
