His academic journey continued at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree, specializing in composition and performance. Currently, Marvin Lamb serves as the Dean of the College of Fine Arts and a Professor of Music at the University of Oklahoma. His leadership has been pivotal in elevating the college's reputation, making it a hub for aspiring musicians and composers.
