

Shery Kime-Goodwin
Recognized for advancing sustainable solutions for legal education and practice, Shery Kime-Goodwin is an esteemed Adjunct Professor of Law at Texas Tech University. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Texas Christian University and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law. Her academic background is complemented by her extensive practical experience in the legal field, particularly in bankruptcy, banking, and commercial litigation. Since 2005, Professor Kime-Goodwin has been a dedicated member of the Texas Tech faculty, where she has made significant contributions as an adjunct Legal Practice professor. Her commitment to legal education is matched by her practical experience, as she has served as the assistant federal public defender and acting supervisor of the Lubbock Office since 2000. Her dual roles in academia and practice provide her students with a unique perspective on the application of legal principles in real-world scenarios. In addition to her teaching and legal practice, Professor Kime-Goodwin has demonstrated exceptional leadership and coaching skills. Since 2008, she has been instrumental in coaching the national arbitration teams for Texas Tech, guiding them to remarkable success. Under her mentorship, the teams achieved the prestigious ABA National Championship titles in both 2008 and 2010, showcasing her ability to inspire and lead students to excel in competitive environments.
