Daniel Ritchie

Dr. Daniel Ritchie is devoted to exploring challenges in the intersection of faith and literature, with a particular emphasis on 18th-century literature. As a Professor of English Emeritus at Bethel University, he has been an integral part of the faculty since 1985. His academic journey began with a B.A. in Greek from Amherst College in 1978, followed by an M.A. and a Ph.D. in English from Rutgers University, completed in 1980 and 1985, respectively. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Ritchie has been the recipient of numerous prestigious grants, including those from the Newberry Library and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
