

Atef Laouyene
Atef Laouyene is an esteemed Associate Professor in the English Department at California State University, Los Angeles, where he has been a dedicated faculty member since 2009. With a robust academic background, Laouyene earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Ottawa, following an M.A. in English from Laval University. His academic journey also includes a Diplôme des Études Approfondies in English from the Faculté des Lettres, Manouba, Tunisia, and a License in English Language and Literature from the Faculté des Lettres, Sousse, Tunisia. Laouyene's scholarly pursuits are deeply rooted in postcolonial literary studies and critical theory, with a particular focus on the history of Arab Spain. His research extends to the Francophone literatures of the Maghreb and Middle Eastern literary studies, areas in which he has made significant contributions through numerous articles and book chapters.
