Professor Ramin Roosta is an active researcher in the field of power systems, currently serving as a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at California State University, Northridge. He embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tehran in 1976. He furthered his education at the University of Southern California, where he earned his Master of Science in 1978 and subsequently his Ph.D. in 1982. Professor Roosta's research interests are deeply rooted in power systems, with a particular emphasis on power quality, renewable energy integration, and the development of microgrids. His work aims to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving landscape of energy systems, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and sustainable. In addition to his research and teaching responsibilities, Professor Roosta is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Power & Energy Society.
