Dr. Stephen Cerrone focuses on executive coaching, organizational culture, leadership development, and human capital strategy as an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in the Department of Management at the University of Miami. With a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston, Dr. Cerrone brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to his academic role. Before joining the University of Miami, Dr. Cerrone served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) across various industries, both in the U.S. and internationally. His extensive experience in these roles has equipped him with a deep understanding of board and CEO advisory work, as well as the intricacies of human capital strategy. Dr. Cerrone is particularly passionate about mentoring CHROs and high-potential HR executives, helping them navigate the complexities of their roles and develop into effective leaders. In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, Dr. Cerrone is a Certified Professional Coach, a credential that underscores his commitment to fostering leadership development and organizational growth. He also chairs the Compensation Committee at Roosevelt University in Chicago, where he applies his expertise in human resources and organizational strategy to guide compensation practices.
