Mark Speck

Dr. Mark Speck is actively engaged in the dynamic field of data science as an Assistant Professor at Chaminade University of Honolulu. With a robust academic background, he earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, which laid the foundation for his interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research. At Chaminade University, Dr. Speck is responsible for courses in Digital Science and Systems Biology, where he integrates his extensive knowledge of microbiology and data science to provide a comprehensive learning experience for his students. In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Speck is deeply involved in postdoctoral research in Dr. Helen Turner's laboratory.
