Dr. David Werner is devoted to exploring challenges in higher education leadership and administration. With a distinguished career spanning several decades, Dr. Werner has made significant contributions to the academic community through his leadership roles and commitment to educational excellence. He served as the interim president of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) from 2010 to 2012, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the institution through a period of transition. Before his tenure at IUP, Dr. Werner held various leadership positions at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), including serving as chancellor, provost, and dean of the School of Business. His leadership at SIUE was marked by a focus on enhancing academic programs and fostering a collaborative environment for faculty and students alike. In addition to his roles at IUP and SIUE, Dr. Werner also served as interim president of Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and interim provost of IUP, further demonstrating his versatility and expertise in university administration. Dr. Werner's academic background is rooted in industrial engineering and management science. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, a Master of Science, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management Science.
