As an Assistant Professor in the Aerospace Department at Middle Tennessee State University, Carlos brings a wealth of practical experience and academic knowledge to his role. He holds both a Master of Science (2015) and a Bachelor of Science (2004) in aerospace-related disciplines, which have laid a strong foundation for his teaching and research endeavors. With 17 years of experience in the aviation industry, Carlos began his career as a line service technician, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of aircraft operations. His dedication and expertise led him to become a licensed Airframe and Powerplant technician, a qualification that underscores his technical proficiency and commitment to safety and excellence in aviation maintenance. Carlos's professional journey includes significant time spent at Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services in Nashville, where he contributed to the maintenance and servicing of a diverse fleet of aircraft. This hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment has equipped him with insights that he now shares with his students at MTSU. Before transitioning to a full-time teaching role, Carlos served as a lab instructor, where he was instrumental in guiding students through practical applications of aerospace theories and principles.
