

Barbara Whitman Lancaster
Dr. Barbara Whitman Lancaster is passionate about advancing the field of nursing through her dedicated research and teaching. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at Middle Tennessee State University, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her students and colleagues. Dr. Lancaster earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Frontier Nursing University in 2015 and 2013, respectively, and began her nursing career with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from St Petersburg College in 1982. With a focus on menopausal health, health promotion in older women, and service-learning in nursing, Dr. Lancaster is a recognized expert in her field. Her commitment to women's health is further demonstrated by her credentials as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Menopause Practitioner.
