With a robust academic background, Dr. Smith earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Middle Tennessee State University, complemented by an MBA and BBA from Trevecca Nazarene University. His teaching portfolio spans both undergraduate and master's level courses, where he imparts his expertise in economics to aspiring business professionals. Dr. Smith's research interests are deeply rooted in Health Economics and Industrial Organization, areas in which he has made significant contributions through his presentations at the Southern Economic Association and various university seminars.
