Lesley Ginsberg

Dr. Lesley Ginsberg investigates challenges and opportunities in the realm of American literature, with a particular focus on Antebellum Literature, American women writers, and the American Gothic. As a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her students and colleagues. Dr. Ginsberg earned her Ph.D. from Stanford University, following her undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley. Her academic journey has been marked by significant achievements, including an AAS-NEH postdoctoral fellowship in 1998. Her research and publications delve deeply into early American and nineteenth-century American literature and culture, exploring the intricate narratives and themes that have shaped American literary history. Dr. Ginsberg's work on American women writers and the American Gothic has contributed to a broader understanding of these genres and their cultural significance.
