

Elizabeth Corrie
Dedicated to nurturing talent in the field of youth education and peacebuilding, Dr. Elizabeth Corrie serves as a Professor in the Practice of Youth Education and Peacebuilding and the Director of the Religious Education Program at the Candler School of Theology, Emory University. With a distinguished academic journey, Dr. Corrie earned her PhD in 2002 and her MDiv in 1996 from Emory University, following her BA from the College of William and Mary in 1993. Dr. Corrie's research interests are deeply rooted in transformative pedagogy, theories of nonviolence, and conflict transformation. She passionately integrates these areas into her teaching, aiming to inspire and equip students with the tools necessary for effective peacebuilding and social justice advocacy. Her commitment to these fields is evident in both her academic pursuits and her active engagement in youth and peace justice activism. Throughout her career, Dr. Corrie has been dedicated to exploring innovative educational strategies that promote understanding and reconciliation.
