Alexander Sager

Professor Alexander Sager is making strides in research on German medievalism and the intricate web of German and Eastern European relations. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies at the University of Georgia, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his field. His scholarly pursuits delve into the depths of medieval German language, literature, and culture, as well as the vibrant German literature around the turn of the 20th century. In addition to his research, Professor Sager plays a pivotal role as the Study Abroad and Internship Coordinator for German-speaking countries, fostering international academic exchanges and providing students with invaluable global experiences. His commitment to education and student development is evident in his dedication to these programs. Professor Sager's work extends beyond the classroom, as he explores the literary, cultural, and historical relationships between German-speaking regions and Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on Hungary.
