Professor with a focus on family-based HIV risk reduction, Dalmacio Dennis Flores, PhD, serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. His research is particularly centered on addressing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ youth in the context of HIV prevention and risk reduction. Dr. Flores is deeply committed to advancing the health and well-being of this community through innovative research and evidence-based interventions. Dr. Flores has a distinguished academic background, having earned his PhD from Duke University in 2016. Prior to this, he completed his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Public Health Nursing Leadership at Emory University. His foundational training in nursing was obtained through a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Kennesaw State University.
