Malinda Lee Whitlow

Building frameworks for better understanding of nursing education and practice, Malinda Lee Whitlow serves as an Associate Professor of Nursing and the RN-BSN Program Director at the University of Virginia School of Nursing. A proud "triple 'Hoo," she has completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at UVA. Her academic journey is marked by her membership in the prestigious Raven Society and the Sigma nursing honor society, reflecting her commitment to excellence in nursing education and leadership. Professor Whitlow's teaching portfolio is extensive, encompassing medical-surgical and community health courses, as well as labs and clinicals that provide hands-on learning experiences for her students. She also teaches pharmacology and health assessment classes, ensuring that her students gain a comprehensive understanding of the nursing field.
