Benjamin Anderson is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). With a robust academic background, he earned his Master's degree in Computer Engineering and Information Assurance and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University. His academic journey laid a strong foundation for his expertise in cybersecurity and red teaming. Before embarking on his academic career at UTSA, Benjamin accumulated over a decade of experience at Sandia National Laboratories. During his tenure there, he was instrumental in leading cybersecurity assessments and red teaming initiatives, which significantly contributed to his practical understanding and application of cybersecurity principles. This experience has been invaluable in shaping his teaching philosophy and approach.
