Dr. Joseph Hamera is well-respected in the field of emergency medicine, serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California-San Francisco. With board certifications in both emergency medicine and critical care medicine, Dr. Hamera brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Emergency Medicine at Beaumont Health, where he honed his skills in acute patient care. Further advancing his expertise, Dr. Hamera completed a Fellowship in Extracorporeal Life Support at the University of Maryland. This specialized training has equipped him with advanced skills in managing critically ill patients requiring life support interventions. His research interests are focused on trauma ultrasound and extracorporeal life support, areas in which he has made significant contributions through his published work.
